Fair Shares Community Allotment

It’s a lovely community space in the heart of Barton and Tredworth, which is designed to be more than just be about food growing. It’s a community space that is used for events, activities, art groups, relaxation, wellbeing and lots of food activiti4es too.

Coleford Grows

We are a volunteer community gardening group for all those living/working within Coleford town boundaries. As a group, we want to improve our local area by making unused/under used locations beautiful again

We welcome new volunteers.

Forest Community Shed

We have a wood and metal workshop, space for hobbies and crafts, green woodworking, social spaces, tea and coffee, and always a friendly welcome.

We make  raised beds/planters etc and we repair and sharpen tools.

Dean Forest Food Hub

Dean Forest Food Hub are an Online Farmers Market, and cover the Forest of Dean District between Huntley and Tutshill.

Delivery days are Wednesdays and Fridays and orders are delivered to drop off points across 2 routes in the Forest. Direct to home deliveries can be made to those who are unable to access the drop off points (due to ill health, disability or temporary transport problems), there is a small charge of £2.50 for home delivery.

Coleford Country Market

Coleford Country Market is a cooperative of  local crafts people, food producers and bakers – the cooperative is part of a national organisation Country Markets Ltd.

Membership of the cooperative costs  5p and a percentage of sales covers market costs.

The market is open from 09.30-12.00 on Fridays and 10.00-12.00 on Saturdays

 

Wiggly Charity

Gloucester-based charity with a mission to empower people through food. Wiggly provides inclusive, accessible cookery workshops for vulnerable, disadvantaged and disabled people of all ages and abilities. Wiggly workshops and courses empower individuals by building kitchen skills for life, improving self-esteem and confidence and bringing communities together. Our flexible approach eliminates transport barriers and allow us to reach individuals who may not otherwise be able to access traditional cooking schools or workshops.

Wiggly sessions are interesting, practical, engaging and fun. We offer value for money, specialist teaching, in a safe and inclusive environment. Wiggly recipes are designed to be seasonal, budget-friendly, simple and tasty. We focus on people’s strengths and tailor our classes to individual abilities so that everyone can succeed in cooking and sharing a delicious meal, regardless of ability or circumstance.

Fresh Hope School House Community Cafe

Fresh Hope is an umbrella organisation which supports projects. One of these is the School House Cafe.

The School House Cafe is a community cafe. We open to the public and offer a place for the community to come together. We also host the community’ lunch on a Pay as you can basis.
